Show your child a narwhal card or draw a narwhal yourself, then encourage your child to draw one next to you. As you draw, describe what you’re doing and what you see. Emphasize that the drawing doesn’t need to be perfect—letters and drawings are made of shapes, lines, and dots, so drawing and scribbling are valuable practice for developing fine motor skills and creativity!

Draw a Narwhal

Yoga
Dolphin Pose & Forearm Stand Prep

Start by having your child place their hands and forearms on the ground while their legs are in downward dog position. Encourage them to press into their forearms and slowly lift their knees up, pressing their chest and belly toward their thighs to form an upside-down “V” shape with their body. Remind them to keep equal weight on their forearms and feet.

Forearm Stand Practice
Move to a wall and have your child face it. Come down to their hands and forearms, then shift into downward dog. Gently guide them to kick up their legs, trying to move into a forearm stand. Using the wall for support helps them build strength and balance for the pose.
