Explain to your child that “X” is not just for “xylophone”. Instead, “X” says /ks/ at the end of words like “Rex” or “box”. This helps them understand the sound of “X” in different contexts.

Dinosaur March & Stretch
Dinosaur March
Have your child march in place, lifting one leg at a time while balancing on the opposite leg.
T-Rex March
Start in a low yoga squat (Malasana), extending one arm to each side. As they march like a T-Rex, they should touch their opposite elbow to their opposite knee. After this, let them rest in Child’s Pose.
Wake Up & Stretch
Guide your child to "wake up like a dinosaur" by stretching forward into a forward fold, touching their feet. Then, have them stand up and bring one foot to their hand while balancing on the other leg.
